DB REALTY, TAKING SOCIAL COMMITMENT AND ARTS TO THE NEXT LEVEL

DB Realty, India’s leading real estate developer, has announced a program committed to making a difference in the lives of less privileged people. The company has initiated an integrated Corporate Social Responsibility program, ‘Vision Mumbai’ that will extend support to NGO’s dealing with issues related to shelter, education, health, environment, women’s empowerment and children.

DB Realty has taken the first step in this direction by associating with prominent theatre personality - Mr Feroz Khan, who has directed the Indian adaptation of the 2000 Pulitzer award winning play by Donald Margulies ‘Dinner with Friends’.

Mr. Khan has won several international and national awards for his film “Gandhi My Father”. His Hindi play “Tumhari Amrita” is a path breaking piece in Indian theatre. His recent work, a film on population control commissioned film by the Union Ministry of Health, on World Population Day is making waves across rural India.

Mr. Vinod Goenka, MD, DB Realty with his characteristic reticence had this to say “We at DB Realty, will use the platform of art to bring to the forefront social problems and issues which touch all of our lives. We are committed not only to building world class homes but are also committed to support organizations engaged in helping those who are socially disadvantaged.”

Dinner With Friends
A Pulitzer Prize winning drama by Donald Marguilles, adapted and Directed by Feroz Khan. The play is a benchmark of excellence and success. The show will be held on Saturday, 22nd January, 2011 at Tata Theatre NCPA, 7.30 pm.
A series of charity performances across the country and even abroad are scheduled during the year. This is a first step towards realizing DB’s broader vision of a long term affiliation with the Arts to benefit social causes.
